Renaissance Kingdom Wars is a strategy game from Reverie World Studios, published by indie.io. It is a Steam key that you activate on your own Steam account before downloading the game. You begin as the captain of a mercenary company in a Europe divided between rival kingdoms, fighting in the service of a king in the 16th century, and what you do with that contract is up to you.
What to expect
- Real-time battles and sieges, from clashes with thousands of soldiers to naval engagements, across more than 500 provinces.
- A path from commander to ruler: earn a city, manage its economy, negotiate with rivals and build your own domain.
- Freedom to break your contract, rebel against your employer or pursue a larger empire by force, diplomacy and trade.
- Technology that advances as the campaign proceeds, with pikes, firearms and cannons gradually replacing older weapons.
- Flexible management: work from the world map or zoom in to the front line, and start as a minor lord or as one of 36 historic kingdoms.
Who is it for?
The game is aimed at strategy players who like long campaigns, tactical battles and political decisions in the same package. It leaves you free to choose how involved you wish to be with the details, from sweeping overviews to close-up command.
