Microsoft Project Professional 2021 is Microsoft's planning software for following a project from the first task to the final report. The key gives you a perpetual licence for one Windows PC, so there is no subscription to renew. The Professional edition adds team resource management and an optional link to a Project server, which the Standard edition does not offer.
What it includes
- Gantt charts: tasks, milestones and dependencies laid out on a timeline, with the critical path highlighted.
- Team Planner: a view of assignments person by person, so overloaded team members are easy to spot.
- Resource and cost management: people, materials and budget, with costs calculated automatically.
- Top-down planning: split a project into phases, sub-projects and work packages.
- Built-in reports: progress, costs and workload, customisable and exportable.
- Baseline comparison: see the gap between the original plan and what has actually happened.
- Server synchronisation: optional connection to Project Server or Project Online.
Before you order
Project 2021 is made for Windows 11 and Windows 10. It is not available for Mac. The licence covers one computer. The server side of the synchronisation feature is a separate environment and is not part of this licence.
