Red Dead Redemption 2 is the open-world western by Rockstar Games. In 1899, Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang flee after a botched robbery and try to survive in an America where the law is gaining ground. It is an extremely long single-player campaign, carried by careful writing and by a world of rare density, where the details accumulate right down to the character's gestures.
What awaits you
- A living open world — five large regions, complete wildlife, weather cycles, random encounters and towns that react to your reputation.
- Camp life — resupply the camp, listen to the gang's conversations, take part in the tasks and watch the bonds fall apart as the story unfolds.
- Hunting and crafting — track animals, aim cleanly to preserve the hide, then craft satchels and clothing.
- Gunfights and Dead Eye — combat in cover with slow-motion to mark several targets, weapons that foul up and require maintenance.
- Honour system — your decisions influence the way the world treats you and certain scenes at the end.
- Red Dead Online — a separate multiplayer component with its own character and activities.
