Borderlands 2 – Steam PC (account provided)

Borderlands 2 is the first-person shooter from Gearbox Software that popularised the looter-shooter. On the planet Pandora, you search for an alien Vault while facing Handsome Jack, head of the Hyperion corporation and an antagonist who has become a cult figure. The game loop is simple and ruthlessly effective: shoot, pick up a slightly better weapon, level up, unlock a skill, start again — with constant humour and often outlandish side quests.

What awaits you

• Procedurally generated weapons — combinations of barrels, magazines, scopes and elemental effects in considerable numbers.
• Specialised characters — each with a unique active ability and three skill trees to shape.
• Four-player co-op — the game takes on another dimension with several players, with a challenge that adapts.
• A vast and varied world — desert, glacial and industrial regions linked by vehicles.
• Bosses and raids — major fights to retry to obtain the coveted legendary items.
• Humour and writing — dialogue and secondary characters that make up a good part of the game's reputation.
