This is a Steam key to redeem on your own Steam account. Xenonauts 2 comes from Goldhawk Interactive, which both developed and published it, and carries a PEGI 18 rating. You head a secret multinational military organisation fighting an extraterrestrial threat. It is a standalone game, so no previous knowledge of the original Xenonauts is required.
What to expect
- A global strategic layer: build and run a network of bases, each specialised in detection, research, production or defence.
- A research tree of more than one hundred projects, leading to new aircraft, vehicles, weapons and armour, plus automated combat platforms.
- Tactical ground battles in which positioning, ammunition and cover matter, and where soldiers gain experience or can be lost.
- Air combat against UFOs, with fighters you direct in real time.
- A story set in 2009, during the Cold War, with human agents called Cleaners working alongside the aliens.
Who is it for?
Adults who enjoy demanding, in-depth strategy and are comfortable with losses along the way. Newcomers and fans of the first game are both catered for. Expect campaigns in which small decisions can have far-reaching consequences. The game rewards planning and patience, since time, money and resources are always scarce.
