This listing is for Windows 11 Pro with a Retail licence covering 1 PC. It is paid for once, with no subscription, and because it is Retail you can deactivate it on one computer and activate it again on another.
Pro features at a glance
- BitLocker and BitLocker To Go to encrypt the system drive and removable media.
- Remote Desktop host, so the PC can accept incoming remote connections.
- Hyper-V for building and running virtual machines.
- Windows Sandbox, a throw-away isolated environment that is erased every time you close it.
- Active Directory domain or Microsoft Entra ID join for machines that belong to an organisation.
- Local Group Policy Editor and Windows Update for Business for detailed configuration and update scheduling.
- Up to 2 TB of RAM, compared with 128 GB on Windows 11 Home.
Why Retail matters
An OEM key stays bound to the motherboard it was first activated on. A Retail key does not: it can follow you when you replace your PC or rebuild your configuration. If you change hardware from time to time, this is the more practical format.
Good to know before you order
Windows 11 needs a TPM 2.0 chip, Secure Boot and a compatible 64-bit processor. Run Microsoft's PC Health Check tool first, as missing hardware support is the most common reason an installation fails.
- Compatible 64-bit processor, 1 GHz or faster, with 2 or more cores
- 4 GB of RAM (8 GB recommended)
- 64 GB of storage
- UEFI firmware with Secure Boot, and TPM 2.0
- DirectX 12 graphics card with a WDDM 2.0 driver, and a 9-inch 720p display or larger
- Internet connection and a Microsoft account for the initial setup
Activation and delivery
Enter the key under Settings › System › Activation › Change product key. Linking the licence to your Microsoft account afterwards makes later reactivations easier. Odin Key sends the key by e-mail within 24 hours of payment, together with the activation steps, and an official invoice is provided. Support is available in English by e-mail.
