Microsoft Windows 10 Home – OEM Key (1 PC)

Windows 10 Home is the standard consumer edition of Windows, the one found on most home laptops and desktops. It covers everyday home use and leaves out the administration tools aimed at professional settings. This is an OEM licence for 1 PC.

What Home includes

• Start menu and live tiles: the classic Windows 10 interface, with built-in search and virtual desktops.
• Microsoft Defender Antivirus: antivirus protection and a firewall, updated automatically.
• Windows Hello: sign-in by fingerprint or face recognition, if your hardware supports it.
• Microsoft Store: Photos, Mail, Calendar, Xbox and the Edge browser.
• Parental controls and family accounts: screen-time limits and content filtering for children's accounts.

What Home leaves out

BitLocker, incoming Remote Desktop connections, Hyper-V, Windows Sandbox, domain join and the Group Policy editor are only available in the Pro edition.

OEM or Retail

An OEM licence is tied permanently to the motherboard of the first computer on which it is activated. It is not transferable to another machine, and replacing the motherboard may invalidate the activation. A Retail licence, by contrast, can be removed from one PC and activated again on another. OEM is the right choice for a computer you do not plan to replace.
