Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, developed by Warhorse Studios, continues the story of Henry of Skalitz in early 15th-century Bohemia. Unlike most medieval role-playing games, this one contains neither magic nor creatures: everything rests on a documented historical reconstruction, from weapons and armour to trades, food, hygiene and social organisation. Sword combat relies on a system of directions and parries that requires genuine learning and the world's characters follow realistic daily schedules.
What awaits you
- Historical open world — two vast regions of Bohemia recreated, with villages, castles, forests and trade routes.
- Demanding combat — directional aiming, parries, feints, armour weight and stamina that genuinely matter.
- Skills through practice — you progress by doing: smithing, lockpicking, hunting, speaking, riding.
- Quests with multiple outcomes — investigations that can be resolved through speech, cunning, theft or force.
- Simulated life — local reputation, cleanliness, food, sleep and a day-night cycle that influence the inhabitants' reactions.
