AVG Internet Security 2023 is AVG's complete security suite: it adds to the free antivirus a firewall, online payment protection, a ransomware shield and webcam monitoring. The licence covers 1 device for 1 year. This is a previous generation to the current edition: the engine corresponds to the 2023 version, but signature and threat definition updates remain provided throughout the licence period.
What the protection includes
- Real-time antivirus — checks every file opened, downloaded or copied and blocks viruses, Trojans and spyware.
- Behavioural analysis — spots programs whose conduct betrays a threat, even when absent from the signature databases.
- Advanced firewall — filters connections application by application and adapts its rules to the type of network detected.
- Anti-ransomware shield — restricts changes to your personal folders to approved applications only.
- Fake sites and phishing — checks the authenticity of banking and shopping sites before you enter your credentials.
- Webcam protection — no application can activate the camera without authorisation.
Compatibility
Windows 11, 10, 8.1 and 7 (SP1); AVG applications also exist for macOS and Android depending on the edition. 1 GB of RAM and 2 GB of disk space recommended. Internet connection required for activation and daily updates.
