The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion – GOTY Edition – Steam key

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is the fourth instalment of the role-playing series by Bethesda Game Studios, released in 2006 and a reference of the genre ever since. You start as a prisoner in the imperial dungeons and find yourself, a few minutes later, tasked with locating the heir to the throne while portals to the plane of Oblivion open across Cyrodiil. What earned the game its reputation was not so much its main storyline as the freedom on offer: you can ignore it completely for dozens of hours to explore, join guilds or simply live in the world.

What awaits you

• Open world of Cyrodiil — cities, villages, Ayleid ruins, forts and caves to explore with no set order.
• Complete guilds — mages, warriors, thieves and the Dark Brotherhood, each with its own quest campaign.
• Free character creation — races, astrological signs, skills that progress through use.
• Oblivion portals — infernal dimensions to close, which punctuate the main storyline.

What this edition includes

The Game of the Year Edition brings together the base game and its two major expansions: Knights of the Nine, a chivalric quest with its own legendary equipment and Shivering Isles, an immense region ruled by the daedric prince of madness, with its own creatures, quests and singular atmosphere.
