Subnautica 2 is the sequel to Unknown Worlds Entertainment's underwater survival and exploration series. The principle remains the one that made the previous instalments a success: you move in first person through an alien ocean, gradually descending towards more hostile depths, all while managing oxygen and your vital needs. The major new feature announced for this instalment is co-op, which lets you explore and build together on the same planet.
What awaits you
- Underwater exploration — distinct biomes to traverse, from the lit surface to the dark abyss.
- Gathering and crafting — resources to scan and collect in order to unlock tools, equipment and vehicles.
- Base building — modules to assemble underwater, with the pressure constraints tied to depth.
- Co-op — the game supports multiplayer games, in addition to solo.
The game is offered in early access: its content, mechanics and balancing evolve over the updates released by the studio.
