Risk of Rain 2 is a three-dimensional roguelike shooter by Hopoo Games, the direct sequel to the two-dimensional action game released a few years earlier. You are dropped onto a hostile planet and must cross a succession of randomly generated levels, picking up items that accumulate without limit. The difficulty rises continuously with the passing time: the longer you linger, the more numerous and tougher the monsters become, creating a permanent tension between the urge to search the map and the need to press on.
What awaits you
- Item stacking with no cap — each item picked up stacks with the previous ones, until it creates completely disproportionate combinations by the end of the game.
- Around ten survivors — commando, engineer, artificer, mercenary and other characters, each with four abilities and their own play style.
- Online co-op for up to four players — items are picked up individually, which encourages dividing up the roles.
- Levels generated each game — the layout of the maps, chests and altars changes with every attempt.

System requirements
64-bit Windows PC. The game remains undemanding for a 3D title: a dual- or quad-core processor, 4 to 8 GB of RAM and a dedicated entry-level graphics card are enough in most cases. A few gigabytes of disk space and an internet connection for co-op mode.
