Resident Evil 4 in its 2023 version is the remake of the 2005 game, made by Capcom on the RE Engine. Leon S. Kennedy, now a government agent, is sent to an isolated village in Spain to find the president's daughter, kidnapped by a cult whose members are controlled by a parasite. The game retains the original's singular balance between third-person action and horror, while deeply modernising its mechanics.
What awaits you
- Reworked combat — moving while aiming, knife parry, contextual kicks and tight ammunition management.
- The merchant — a cult figure of the series: buy, sell, upgrade your weapons and carry out his side requests.
- Memorable sections — the village, the castle and the island, each with its atmosphere, its enemies and its mass confrontations.
- Escorting Ashley — entirely revised compared to the original, with a simplified and far less cumbersome command system.
- Crafting — make your ammunition and healing from gathered resources, which adds a layer of management.
- Replayability — bonus weapons, additional difficulties and Mercenaries mode added after release.
