Microsoft Windows 10 Pro – OEM Key (1 PC)

This listing is for Windows 10 Pro with an OEM licence for 1 PC. The operating system is the same as the Retail version, with the same features and the same updates. Only the licence terms differ: an OEM key becomes attached for good to the hardware it is first activated on, which makes it a practical choice for a machine that is going to stay as it is.

What Windows 10 Pro offers

• BitLocker for full-disk encryption, with recovery through a backup key.
• Remote Desktop as host, so the PC can be controlled from another computer, which Home does not allow.
• Hyper-V for native virtual machines, handy for testing software or running an older system.
• Windows Sandbox for running a suspicious file in a disposable environment.
• Domain or Microsoft Entra ID join for use with a corporate directory.
• Local Group Policy and Windows Update for Business to control configuration and patch timing.
• Microsoft Defender, Windows Hello and the Microsoft Store, as all Home features are included.

What OEM means in practice

The licence is tied to the motherboard of the PC. It cannot be transferred to another computer, and replacing the motherboard may invalidate the activation. Reinstalling Windows on the same hardware is fine, and the key stays valid. If you expect to move the licence to a different PC one day, choose a Retail key instead.
