Kaspersky VPN Secure Connection 2021 is not an antivirus: it is a virtual private network, a service that encrypts your Internet traffic and routes it through a remote server. The licence covers 5 PCs for 1 year. Its main benefit: making your data unreadable on shared Wi-Fi networks (hotels, airports, cafés), masking your real IP address from the sites you visit and choosing the connection's exit country. This is the 2021 edition, an earlier version of the client; the service remains usable for the entire duration of the licence.
What the subscription includes
- Traffic encryption — your exchanges are encapsulated in an encrypted tunnel, including on an unsecured public network.
- Masked IP address — the sites you visit see the VPN server's address and not yours.
- Server choice — several dozen locations around the world, selectable in one click.
- Automatic activation — the VPN triggers on its own as soon as you connect to a Wi-Fi network deemed untrusted.
Note: a VPN protects the confidentiality of your connection, it does not replace an antivirus.
Compatibility
Windows 11, 10, 8.1 and 7 (SP1); macOS, Android and iOS clients also exist and attach to the same My Kaspersky account. A stable Internet connection is required and a slight reduction in speed is normal when the tunnel is active.
Activation
You receive the activation key by e-mail within a maximum of 24 hours. Install Kaspersky VPN Secure Connection, log in to your My Kaspersky account and enter the code: the 5 devices are then managed from this single account and the 12 months start at activation.
