AVG Ultimate for Windows 2024 – 1 year / 1 PC

AVG Ultimate for Windows 2024 combines on the same machine the AVG Internet Security antivirus suite and the AVG TuneUp optimiser. The licence covers 1 PC for 1 year. The appeal of this formula is to tackle two different problems with a single subscription: security on the one hand, slowness and disk clutter on the other. The two modules must be clearly distinguished: only Internet Security protects against viruses, TuneUp is limited to system maintenance.

What the protection includes

• Real-time antivirus — every file opened, downloaded or copied is scanned before execution.
• Firewall — filters incoming and outgoing connections and blocks intrusion attempts.
• Anti-ransomware — only approved programs can modify your documents and your photos.
• Fake sites and attachments — blocking of phishing pages and scanning of files received by e-mail.
• TuneUp: cleaning — removes temporary files, caches and uninstallation residue to recover space.
• TuneUp: sleep mode — puts to sleep applications running in the background and thereby lightens memory.
• TuneUp: startup — identifies and disables programs that slow down login.

Compatibility

Windows 11, 10, 8.1 and 7 (SP1), 32 and 64 bits. As its name indicates, this edition is reserved for Windows: it covers neither macOS nor mobile devices. 2 GB of disk space recommended and Internet connection required.

Activation

Your activation key arrives by e-mail within 24 hours at most. Attach the code to your AVG account, then install Internet Security and TuneUp on the covered PC: both modules recognise the Ultimate subscription. The 12 months begin at activation.
