Avast Premium Security 2024 – 1 year / 1 PC

Avast Premium Security 2024 is Avast's complete antivirus suite, designed to protect 1 PC for 1 year. On top of the free antivirus, it adds a firewall, a ransomware shield, webcam access control, detection of fake banking sites and an isolated mode for opening suspicious files. The 2024 edition focuses on behavioural detection of previously unseen threats and on reducing the impact on performance.

What the protection includes

• Real-time scanning — every file opened, downloaded or copied is checked before it runs.
• Behavioural detection — monitors what programs do and stops those that behave in a way typical of malware, even without a known signature.
• Firewall — controls connections application by application and tightens its rules on public networks.
• Anti-ransomware shield — locks the Documents, Pictures and Desktop folders against any unauthorised encryption.
• Real Site — prevents redirection to a fake banking site when you enter your credentials.
• Webcam protection — blocks camera access by unapproved applications.
• Sandbox — runs a suspicious file in a space isolated from the rest of the system.

Compatibility

Windows 11, 10, 8.1 and 7 (SP1), 32 and 64 bit. 1 GB of RAM and 2 GB of disk space recommended. An Internet connection is required for activation and signature updates.
