Total War: WARHAMMER is where Creative Assembly's strategy series meets the fantasy universe of Games Workshop. You will find the usual structure — a turn-based campaign for management and diplomacy, real-time battles for the clashes — but with one major difference: the armies here include mages, monsters and flying creatures, which upends classic tactics.
What awaits you
- Radically different factions — the Empire, the Dwarfs, the Vampire Counts and the Greenskins play in completely different ways.
- Magic on the battlefield — limited winds of magic, devastating spells and counter-spells to place at the right moment.
- Monstrous units — giants, dragons, trolls and war machines capable of breaking a line on their own.
- Legendary Lords — named characters with their quests, their equipment and their campaign objectives.
- Aerial combat — flying creatures add a vertical dimension absent from the historical Total War games.
- Sieges and fortresses — walls, towers and breaches, with underground passages unique to the Dwarfs and the Greenskins.
