The Sims 4 – Cats & Dogs is the expansion that introduces pets into the game. You create cats and dogs trait by trait — breed, coat, body shape, temperament — and they then live their own lives in the household, with their moods, their mischief and their needs. The expansion also opens the veterinarian career: you can build and run your own clinic. It is additional content that requires the base game The Sims 4. The key is worldwide: its validity is not limited to a region.
What the expansion includes
- Pet creation — detailed customisation tool for cats and dogs, coat patterns included.
- Autonomous behaviours — the animals are not directly controlled: they react to their environment and to your attention.
- Veterinary clinic — building, equipping, diagnosing and managing four-legged patients.
- Brindleton Bay — a new coastal world with beaches, docks and trails to explore with your pet.
- Objects and outfits — baskets, cat trees, toys, and accessories for pets as well as their owners.
