Subnautica: Below Zero is an underwater survival adventure and a new chapter in the Subnautica universe. This listing is a Steam key that works worldwide and is redeemed on your own Steam account. You play a scientist assigned to a research station in the arctic zone of planet 4546B, tasked with studying alien artefacts.
What to expect
- A survival loop built on scavenging resources, hunting for food, crafting equipment and building habitats once things go wrong at the station.
- New environments to dive through, including frozen ocean surfaces, snowy peaks, icy caves, thermal vents and arching blue-lit growths.
- Alien wildlife of every temperament, from gentle penguin-like creatures to aggressive predators and enormous fish.
- A mystery that continues the story of the series, asking who visited the planet before you and whether your commanders can be trusted.
Who is it for?
For players who like exploring at their own pace and solving problems through improvisation rather than combat. It suits fans of atmospheric discovery and survival crafting, as well as newcomers to the universe. Rated PEGI 12, it is a reasonably calm adventure, although the dark depths can still be tense at times.
