Norton Security Deluxe is Norton's classic security suite, predating the Norton 360 range, here for 3 devices for 1 year. The difference is worth knowing before you buy: Norton Security focuses on protection against threats — antivirus, firewall, browser security — without the additional services that Norton 360 introduced later, namely cloud backup, unlimited VPN and dark web monitoring. If you are looking solely for a solid multi-device antivirus, it is a coherent option. Antivirus signature updates are provided for the entire duration of the licence.
What the protection includes
- Real-time antivirus — detection of viruses, Trojans, spyware and ransomware on the 3 devices.
- Smart firewall — filters the PC's network traffic without manual configuration.
- Browser protection — blocking of phishing sites and malicious downloads.
- File reputation analysis — checks an unknown executable against the Norton intelligence network before allowing it.
- Mobile protection — analysis of apps installed on Android and alerts on those requesting abusive permissions.
