Norton 360 for Gamers 2021 is the version of Norton 360 designed for gamers, here for 3 devices for 1 year. The security foundation is that of the 360 range; what changes are the settings: scans and notifications are put on hold during a full-screen game, and the optimiser frees up RAM before a game launches. The 2021 vintage makes it an earlier version of the product; the antivirus signature updates remain provided for the entire duration of the licence. The EU label corresponds to the key's zone of validity, activatable from Europe.
What the protection includes
- Silent game mode — suspends alerts, scheduled scans and updates while a game runs in full screen.
- Game optimiser — groups secondary processes onto certain processor cores to let the game breathe.
- Antivirus and anti-ransomware — real-time protection against malware, including that spread through fake mods or cheats.
- Secure VPN — encrypts the connection and hides the IP address, a useful protection against flooding attempts in online play.
- Password manager — secures your gaming platform accounts, often targeted by credential theft.
Compatibility
Windows 10, 8.1 and 7 (SP1) for the gaming-dedicated features; the remaining licences can cover macOS, Android or iOS. An Internet connection is required for activation, updates and the VPN.
Activation
You receive the activation key by e-mail within 24 hours maximum. Enter the code in your Norton account, then install the protection on each of the 3 devices. The 12 months run from activation.
