Microsoft Office 2016 Home and Business for Mac is a Retail licence for a single Apple computer, giving you the four core applications of the suite as a one-off purchase. It is an older generation: Microsoft no longer provides security updates for it, and it is not guaranteed to run on recent macOS releases. It can still suit an older Mac used for straightforward, everyday office work.
What is included
- Word 2016 for Mac: word processing with a navigation pane, review tools and PDF export.
- Excel 2016 for Mac: formulas, PivotTables and recommended charts.
- PowerPoint 2016 for Mac: slide shows, animations and Presenter view.
- Outlook 2016 for Mac: mail, calendar and contacts, with support for Exchange and IMAP accounts.
With the Retail format, the licence is not locked to one machine for good: once Office has been uninstalled from a Mac, the licence can be used on another one.
