Kaspersky Standard 2024 in its EU edition is an antivirus licence for 5 PCs for one year, aimed at households or small setups with several computers. It is the base tier of the range, without the extra modules of the Plus and Premium editions. Antivirus updates are provided throughout the licence period.
What the protection covers
- Real-time antivirus: scans files as they are opened, downloaded or copied, and blocks viruses, Trojans and spyware before they run.
- Behaviour-based detection: watches how programs act in order to stop a threat that has no known signature yet.
- Payment protection: opens banking and shopping sites in a protected browser, separate from the rest of the system.
- Anti-phishing: blocks fake login pages that imitate a bank or an online shop.
- Anti-ransomware shield: prevents unauthorised encryption of your documents and photos.
What to know before ordering
The EU label describes the zone where the key is valid, so activate it from a country in Europe. Standard does not include the unlimited VPN or the password manager, which belong to the Plus and Premium editions. The application supports Windows 11, 10 and 8.1; versions for macOS and Android also exist, depending on the devices you cover with your five licences. An internet connection is required for activation and for regular updates.
Activation and delivery
The activation key is sent by e-mail within 24 hours of payment. Create or open your My Kaspersky account, install the application, then enter the code in the licence section. The 12-month period starts at first activation, not on the day you buy.
