Fallout 76 is the open-world multiplayer instalment of Bethesda's series. You emerge from Vault 76 in West Virginia, twenty-five years after the bombs, into a region where every other inhabitant you cross paths with may be a player. Long criticised at its release, the game has been deeply reworked since: NPCs, dialogue-driven quests and many regions have been added through free updates.
What awaits you
- Open-world Appalachia — forests, swamps, mountains and mining towns, with highly distinct biomes.
- Lightweight survival — hunger, thirst and radiation to watch, without it becoming the heart of the game.
- C.A.M.P. — a movable camp that you build and upgrade anywhere on the map.
- Public events — activities that all players in the session can join, with good rewards.
- Perk cards — a card-based skills system to equip and combine according to your style.
- Quests and factions — numerous narrative lines added after launch, playable solo.
