ESET HOME Security Essential – 1 year / 1 device (Retail)

ESET HOME Security Essential is ESET's mid-range offering: it takes the NOD32 antivirus engine and adds the firewall, anti-spam, protection of banking transactions and home network monitoring. The licence covers 1 device for 1 year and is managed from the ESET HOME portal. It is the right choice if you want more than a simple antivirus without moving up to the Premium offer (which adds a password manager and encryption).

What the protection includes

• NOD32 antivirus and anti-spyware — multilayer detection renowned for being lightweight, with a very low impact on machine performance.
• Personal firewall — filters incoming and outgoing connections and blocks intrusion attempts on untrusted networks.
• Banking and payment protection — opens a secure, isolated browser for your banking operations and online purchases.
• Anti-ransomware shield — monitors suspicious encryption behaviour and stops it before your files are held hostage.
• Anti-phishing and network control — blocks fraudulent sites and flags unknown devices connected to your Wi-Fi network.
• Webcam protection — controls which applications are allowed to use the camera.
• Anti-spam — filters junk email and malicious attachments in your email client.
• ESET HOME portal — a single dashboard to track the licence, protection status and renewals.
