Doom Eternal is the first-person shooter by id Software that follows on from Doom (2016). Demons have invaded Earth and the Doom Slayer sets out to destroy their commanders one by one. The game stands out for its speed and readability: each arena is a problem to solve in motion, where you have to choose the right weapon, aim at the right weak point and recover your resources from the enemies themselves.
What awaits you
- Total mobility — double jump, horizontal and air dash, walls to climb and bars to grab are an integral part of combat.
- Resource loop — the glory kill restores health, the chainsaw ammunition and the flamethrower armour: you have to be aggressive to survive.
- A bestiary to learn — each demon has a precise weakness and neglecting one enemy throws the whole arena into disarray.
- Levels to explore — secrets, cassettes of classic games, challenges and optional arenas reward thorough searching.
- Customisation — weapon mods, runes and suit upgrades to choose according to your approach.
- Metal soundtrack — a musical accompaniment that has become inseparable from the experience.
