Days Gone is an open-world action-adventure game developed by Bend Studio. You play Deacon St. John, a former biker turned bounty hunter in an Oregon devastated by an epidemic that has turned the population into creatures called Freakers. The game is played in the third person, mixing stealth, shooting, makeshift crafting and long motorbike rides on forest roads.
What awaits you
- The hordes — masses of hundreds of Freakers that move together and force you to prepare traps, explosives and an escape route before the confrontation.
- The motorbike as your only vehicle — fuel to watch, repairs to carry out and upgrades to buy: it is an integral part of the game.
- Day/night cycle and weather — night and rain make the creatures faster and more numerous.
- Survivor camps — each encampment offers its own missions, reputation and exclusive equipment.
- Survival crafting — Molotov cocktails, homemade bombs, traps and healing made from what you scavenge.
- Personal story — the plot mainly follows the relationship between Deacon and his missing wife, carried by numerous cutscenes.
