Cossacks 3 is a real-time strategy game developed and published by GSC Game World, supplied here as a Steam key to activate on your own Steam account. It is a modern take on a strategy classic from 2000, set in the 17th and 18th centuries, and it brings back large-scale warfare with a three-dimensional look.
What to expect
- Armies that can reach thousands of soldiers at once, so battles are about managing masses rather than a handful of units.
- Base-building and resource production, with a wide choice of nations, units, buildings and research options.
- Fighting on land and at sea, since you can also assemble a fleet.
- Five historical single-player campaigns, randomly generated maps and multiplayer matches for up to eight players.
Who is it for?
The game is aimed at strategy players who enjoy planning an economy and then testing it in a large battle. Veterans of the original Cossacks will find a familiar approach, while newcomers get a playground full of possibilities, with alliances to forge and rivals to challenge. It is rated PEGI 12. Its mix of building, research and combat gives each match a different rhythm, from quiet preparation to large clashes.
