Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III continues the Modern Warfare trilogy relaunched by Infinity Ward, with this instalment developed by Sledgehammer Games. It offers a solo campaign following directly on from the previous chapter, a competitive multiplayer that brings back all the iconic maps of 2009's Modern Warfare 2 brought up to date and an original take on the Zombies mode: instead of enclosed wave-based maps, a vast open terrain where you set out on an expedition before extracting with your loot.
What awaits you
- Solo campaign — classic missions and open-structured missions that let you choose your approach and equipment.
- Multiplayer with updated maps — the cult layouts of Modern Warfare 2 rebuilt, plus new maps.
- Open-world Zombies — zones of increasing danger, contracts to fulfil and extraction with what you have found.
- Fluid movement — slide cancelling, climbing and fast movement characteristic of the sub-series.
