Borderlands 3 takes Gearbox's looter-shooter formula to a larger scale: whereas the previous instalments were confined to Pandora, this one sends the Vault Hunters across several planets with very different environments — a vertical megacity, swamps, a monastic desert. The core mechanic stays the same and remains effective: pick up procedurally generated weapons, level up a character with specialised skills and string together fights solo or in four-player co-op.
What awaits you
- Four Vault Hunters — each with three different active abilities, which multiplies the build combinations.
- An outrageous arsenal — weapons with alternative fire modes, legs, homing rounds or explosives, with varied elemental effects.
- Several planets — each world has its own wildlife, factions and vehicles.
- Co-op for up to four — with an instanced loot option to avoid pick-up conflicts.
- Endgame content — higher difficulty modes, arenas and legendary hunting.
- Refined gunplay — a distinctly more modern shooting feel than in previous instalments.
