Black Myth: Wukong on Xbox Series X|S is Game Science's action-RPG inspired by Journey to the West. You play the Destined One, a warrior monkey armed with a staff, who travels through lands haunted by demons drawn from Chinese mythology. The game is played over the shoulder, with combat based on reading enemy attacks, dodging at the right moment and managing stamina. Its reputation rests as much on the difficulty of its bosses as on the richness of its artistic direction.
What awaits you
- Three staff stances — each with its combos, range and openings, to alternate mid-combat.
- Transformations — take on the form of defeated enemies to temporarily change your play style.
- Folklore magic — immobilisation, doubles, transformation techniques to combine with physical attacks.
- A great many bosses — the backbone of the game, with polished staging and attack patterns to learn.
