This listing is a Steam key for Battle Brothers, a tactical role-playing game with turn-based combat, developed by Overhype Studios and released in 2017. The key is activated on your own Steam account and works worldwide. You run a small company of mercenaries in a harsh, low-magic medieval fantasy setting, choosing which contracts to accept, whom to recruit and how to equip your fighters.
What to expect
- A randomly generated open world to cross, with towns to resupply in, places to loot and enemies to hunt down.
- Detailed tactical battles on a separate map, where weapon choice, positioning and injuries all matter.
- Permanent death: fighters who fall stay dead, and each recruit has a background story and personal traits.
- Free character development without fixed classes, plus random events and three major late-game crises: a noble war, an invasion and an undead plague.
Who is it for?
Rated PEGI 12, it is made for patient strategy fans who enjoy careful planning and can accept setbacks as part of the story. It is especially suited to players who like building a team over many hours and caring about every member of it.
