AVG Secure VPN is a virtual private network and nothing more: it encrypts your traffic and hides your IP address, but it does not scan files and does not protect against viruses. For the security of the machine, it must be paired with an antivirus. The licence covers 10 devices for 1 year, which lets you equip a household's computers and phones at the same time.
Main features
- Encrypted tunnel — your exchanges become unreadable to the network operator, which matters above all on public Wi-Fi in hotels, airports or cafés.
- Masked IP address — the sites you visit see the VPN server's address instead of yours.
- Servers spread across many countries — useful for reaching your usual services while travelling abroad.
- Kill switch — cuts the Internet connection if the VPN tunnel is interrupted, to avoid any leak of unencrypted traffic.
- Unlimited traffic — no data quota or throttling imposed by the licence.
- Ten simultaneous devices — PCs, Macs, smartphones and tablets can be connected at the same time.
Compatibility
Windows 11, 10, 8.1 and 7 (SP1), macOS, Android and iOS, with a dedicated application on each platform. The speeds achieved depend on your line and the chosen server.
