Autodesk AutoCAD 2025 is the 2025 release of Autodesk's computer-aided design software, for 2D drafting and 3D modelling. Architects, civil engineers, engineering offices, installers and industrial draughtspeople use it to produce precise plans in DWG format, the standard for the sector.
Please read before buying: this is a 12-month subscription for one seat, not a perpetual licence. If it is not renewed, the right of use ends after the year and the software stops working. Autodesk stopped selling AutoCAD as a perpetual licence several years ago; this is how the product normally works.
What it includes
- Activity Insights: a detailed log of who changed what, and when, in a drawing, useful for collaborative work.
- Smart Blocks: placement suggested from your earlier insertions, and replacement of one block with another across the whole drawing.
- Markups: review a plan on a separate layer without altering the original drawing.
- 2D drafting: associative dimensioning, hatching, layers, templates, sheet sets and layouts for producing document sets.
- 3D modelling: solids, surfaces, meshes, dynamic sections and rendering.
- AutoCAD web and mobile apps: access to plans from a browser or a tablet, useful on site.
Before you order
The subscription covers one seat and is delivered as access to an Autodesk account. The 12-month period begins at activation. Requirements:
- Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit
- 3 GHz processor recommended
- 8 GB of RAM at minimum, 16 GB advised for 3D
- 10 GB of disk space
- Graphics card with 2 GB and DirectX 12 support, and a 1920 x 1080 display
- Internet connection for activation and licence verification
Activation and delivery
Your access details are sent by e-mail within 24 hours of payment. Download AutoCAD 2025 from the Autodesk portal, install the software and sign in with the associated account. An invoice is included, and support is available by e-mail.
