Autodesk AutoCAD 2024 is Autodesk's computer-aided design software for 2D technical drawing and 3D modelling. Architects, engineers, technical offices, installers and draughtspeople use it to produce plans, sections, elevations and electrical or hydraulic diagrams.
Please note the nature of the licence: this is a subscription of one year for one seat, not a perpetual licence. The right of use runs for 12 months from activation, and the software stops working if the subscription is not renewed. Autodesk no longer sells AutoCAD as a permanent licence; this is how the product works in general.
What it includes
- Precise 2D drawing: lines, polylines, hatching, associative dimensioning, layers, dynamic blocks and templates.
- 3D modelling and visualisation: solids, surfaces, meshes, rendering and dynamic sections.
- Markups: annotate a plan on a separate layer without changing the original drawing, handy for exchanges with a client or an inspection office.
- Sheet sets and layouts: organise and print a complete set of plans consistently.
- DWG and DXF formats: the exchange standard of the industry, readable by partner engineering offices.
- AutoCAD web and mobile apps: view and lightly edit a plan from a browser or a tablet on site.
Before you order
The subscription covers one seat and is delivered as access to an Autodesk account. The 12-month period starts at activation. Requirements:
- Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit
- Processor of 2.5 GHz at minimum, 3 GHz or more recommended
- 8 GB of RAM, 16 GB advised
- 10 GB of disk space
- Graphics card with 2 GB and DirectX 12 support, and a 1920 x 1080 display
- Internet connection for activation and periodic licence checks
Activation and delivery
Your access details are sent by e-mail within 24 hours of payment. Download AutoCAD 2024 from the Autodesk portal, install it and sign in: the subscription is tied to the account provided. An invoice is included, and support is available by e-mail.
