ARC Raiders is the extraction shooter from Embark Studios. Earth has been abandoned to machines that came from orbit, the ARC; humanity has taken refuge underground and only ventures out to gather resources on the surface. You are a Raider: each outing consists of gearing up, entering an open map, scavenging, surviving the machines and the other players, then reaching an extraction point. If you die, you lose whatever you were carrying. This version is a key to activate on your own Steam account, so the game is yours for good.
What awaits you
- Risk and reward — the longer you stay, the more you gather, and the more you risk losing it all at extraction.
- A mechanical bestiary — reconnaissance drones, heavy machines, units that call for reinforcements if they spot you.
- Squads of three — the game is designed for co-operation, yet remains playable solo for those who favour stealth.
- Unpredictable encounters — the other Raiders are not necessarily hostile; negotiation is possible.
- Crafting and upgrading — the loot you bring back is used to make weapons, medical supplies and equipment for the next outing.
