Age of Empires IV is the return of the medieval real-time strategy series, developed by Relic Entertainment. You will find resource gathering, advancing through four ages and sieges, with an emphasis on asymmetry: each civilisation genuinely changes the way you build your economy and your army. The Anniversary Edition adds civilisations, masteries and content introduced after release.
What awaits you
- Genuinely different civilisations — the Mongols literally move their town, the Rus live off hunting, the Chinese stack up dynasties.
- Sieges and fortifications — walls, towers, battering rams and trebuchets assembled on site: castle assaults are at the heart of the game.
- Documented historical campaigns — the Hundred Years' War, the Normans, the Mongols, with sequences filmed on the real locations.
- Ranked multiplayer and team matches — up to eight players, seasonal ranking and skirmishes against the AI at adjustable difficulty.
What this edition includes
The Anniversary Edition corresponds to the full game enriched with the content released for the title's anniversary: Malian and Ottoman civilisations, additional maps and mastery challenges. Paid content published later is not included.
