AdGuard Premium is not an antivirus: it is an ad and tracker blocker. It does not scan for viruses and does not replace a security suite. Its job is to filter unwanted content before it reaches your screen. Unlike a simple browser extension, AdGuard works across the whole system, so it also covers apps, games and programs that display ads outside the browser. This licence is described as lifetime and covers 3 devices, with no yearly renewal to plan for.
What the licence covers
- Ad blocking: banners, pre-roll videos, pop-up windows and inserts embedded in pages.
- Tracking protection: neutralises analytics trackers and scripts that build an advertising profile of you.
- System-wide filtering: applies to all browsers and to most applications, not only Chrome or Firefox.
- Lighter browsing: fewer requests are loaded, so pages can display faster and use less data.
What to know before ordering
AdGuard runs on Windows, macOS and Android. An iOS version exists too, but with more limited capabilities because of the restrictions Apple places on its system. The three seats are shared out freely across these platforms from your AdGuard account. Because AdGuard is not a security product, keep your antivirus if you already use one.
Activation and delivery
The activation key is sent by e-mail within 24 hours of payment. Create an AdGuard account, enter the key to attach it to that account, then install the application on each of your devices and sign in with the same account. As the licence is lifetime, it has no expiry date and can be used again for future reinstallations on your devices.
