Windows 11 Enterprise IoT LTSC 2024 is the long-term servicing build of Windows 11. It was designed for specialised devices such as interactive kiosks, industrial controllers, cash registers, medical equipment and control workstations. Its strength is stability: no annual feature updates, only security fixes, and a support period noticeably longer than the mainstream channel.
How LTSC differs
- Fixed interface and features: updates do not change how the system looks or works.
- Leaner system: no preinstalled Microsoft Store, widgets, Cortana or consumer apps.
- Smaller footprint: fewer active services and lower memory use on modest hardware.
- Enterprise functions: BitLocker, Credential Guard, AppLocker, Hyper-V, Sandbox and domain join.
- Incoming Remote Desktop: for administering and operating devices remotely.
- Extended lifecycle: security fixes are delivered over a period well beyond the standard editions.
