Satisfactory is a factory-building game developed by Coffee Stain Studios, played in the first person on an entirely hand-crafted alien planet. Sent by a corporation to exploit the local resources, you start with a few rudimentary tools and end up at the head of a sprawling industrial complex: automated mines, smelters, assemblers, kilometres of conveyor belts, rail networks and power stations. The heart of the game lies in optimisation: each recipe has a throughput, and the challenge is to match production and consumption without any bottleneck.
What awaits you
- Large-scale automation — conveyors, pipes, trains and drones to move materials between your sites.
- Hand-crafted open world — an immense, vertical and varied map, where exploration on foot and then by jetpack is part of the fun.
- Deep research tree — technological tiers to unlock that open up new machines and new materials.
- Energy management — from the simple coal generator to nuclear power stations, with waste to process.
