Microsoft Project 2024 Standard – Key linked to your Microsoft account (Bind Key)

Microsoft Project 2024 Standard is the entry-level edition of Microsoft's project management software, sold as a one-off purchase for 1 PC. The licence is a Bind Key, tied permanently to the Microsoft account you use when you activate it.

What Project Standard covers

• Gantt chart: build the schedule task by task, with durations, dependency links and milestones.
• Critical path: see which tasks decide the delivery date.
• Automatic or manual scheduling: let Project calculate the dates, or set them yourself.
• Local resources and costs: assign people, equipment and budgets within the current project.
• Baselines: freeze the forecast so you can measure variances later.
• Reports and timelines: visual summaries for steering committee meetings.

Standard compared with Professional

Standard is built around the local workstation and the current project. It has no resource pool shared between projects, no connection to Project Server or Project Online and no Team Planner; those features are reserved for the Professional edition. If you manage your schedules on your own, Standard is enough.

About the account-linked key

The link to the Microsoft account is permanent and cannot be transferred to another account. In return, the licence stays listed under Services and subscriptions, and you can reinstall Project on your machine after a reformat whenever you need to.

System requirements

• Windows 10 or Windows 11 (there is no macOS version)
• 1.6 GHz dual-core processor and 4 GB of RAM
• 4 GB of available disk space
• A Microsoft account and an internet connection
