What this generation introduced
Office 2013 brought the flat look inherited from Windows 8, saving to OneDrive, PDF editing inside Word and a touch mode. Its file formats (.docx, .xlsx, .pptx) are the ones still in use, so you can exchange documents with people on newer versions.
Good to know before you order
Microsoft ended support for Office 2013 in April 2023. The suite works normally but no longer receives security patches, and connecting to current Microsoft 365 services is not guaranteed. That makes it a fair choice for an offline PC, an older computer or purely local office work. For a connected machine used for business e-mail, a 2019 or 2021 version is preferable.
- Windows 7, 8, 8.1 or 10, 32-bit or 64-bit
- 1 GHz processor; 1 GB of RAM on 32-bit, 2 GB on 64-bit
- 3 GB of free disk space
- Display resolution of at least 1024 x 576
Activation and delivery
Install Office 2013, open Word, go to File › Account and enter the key to activate online. If that fails, Microsoft's phone activation remains an option. Odin Key sends the key by e-mail within 24 hours of payment, together with the activation steps, and an official invoice is included. Support in English by e-mail and live chat.
