Hogwarts Legacy, developed by Avalanche Software for Warner Bros. Games, is an open-world role-playing game set in the wizarding world, at the end of the 19th century — long before the events the general public knows. You create your own student, arrived exceptionally in the fifth year, you are sorted into one of the four houses and you learn magic while investigating an ancient magic tied to your character. The castle, Hogsmeade and the surrounding Highlands form an open world to explore freely.
What awaits you
- An explorable Hogwarts — classrooms, shifting corridors, animated paintings, common rooms and secret passages.
- Magical combat — spells to combine by family, with parries, dodges and combos built around timing.
- Lessons and learning — potions, herbology, transfiguration and spells that unlock abilities and items.
- Scottish open world — villages, caves, camps and dungeons to explore on foot, by broom or on the back of a flying creature.
- Room of Requirement — a personal space to fit out, with a vivarium to take in and care for magical creatures.
