Hell is Us, developed by Rogue Factor and published by Nacon, is a third-person action-adventure game that embraces a rare stance: no map, no quest marker, no question mark to follow. You progress by listening to the characters, reading the clues and observing the surroundings. The story takes place in the fictional country of Hadea, cut off from the rest of the world and torn apart by a civil war, where supernatural creatures that appeared with the conflict add to the violence of men.
What awaits you
- Exploration without assistance — orientation relies on the real landmarks of the terrain and on the information given in dialogue.
- Melee combat — measured confrontations against creatures, with management of distance, stamina and timing.
- Investigation — notebooks, testimonies and objects to cross-reference to understand what really happened.
- Civil-war atmosphere — destroyed villages, refugee camps and survivors' accounts that set the tone of the game.
- Flying companion — a drone that helps with scouting and analysing the environment.
- Equipment to upgrade — weapons and improvements found through exploration, rather than bought.
