AVG Internet Security 2024 is AVG's complete security suite, for 1 device for 1 year. It goes beyond the free antivirus by adding a firewall, an anti-ransomware shield, payment site verification, webcam control and scanning of incoming e-mails. The 2024 edition improves cloud detection, which reduces the time between a threat appearing and its recognition on your machine.
What the protection includes
- Permanent antivirus shield — every file is scanned before execution, including from a USB stick or an external drive.
- Cloud detection — unknown files are compared in real time with threats reported by the entire AVG network.
- Firewall — blocks intrusions and automatically hardens its rules on public Wi-Fi.
- Anti-ransomware — prevents your documents and photos from being encrypted by an unapproved program.
- Fake websites — diverts fraudulent pages that imitate your bank or an online shop.
- E-mail shield — scans received attachments and flags suspicious links.
