The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is the reworking of the role-playing game by Bethesda Game Studios released in 2006, rebuilt with modern graphics while retaining the structure, the quests and the spirit of the original. You still start as a prisoner in the imperial dungeons before being tasked with the search for the heir to the throne, as portals to the plane of Oblivion open across the province of Cyrodiil. Beyond the visual overhaul, this version modernises several aspects that had become dated: interface, progression system, combat and inventory management.
What awaits you
- Cyrodiil made new — lighting, vegetation, models and effects redone, for a far more detailed province than at the outset.
- Freedom of exploration — the main storyline can be set aside for dozens of hours in favour of the guilds and side quests.
- Guilds and factions — mages, warriors, thieves and the Dark Brotherhood, with their own complete quest lines.
- Revised progression — an adjusted levelling-up system, less punishing than that of the original version.
