Resident Evil 2 (BIOHAZARD RE:2) is the complete remake, by Capcom, of the survival horror released in 1998. This is not a mere facelift: the game was entirely rebuilt with the RE Engine, in a third-person over-the-shoulder view. You play as Leon S. Kennedy, a police officer on his first day of duty, or Claire Redfield, who has come looking for her brother, both trapped in a Raccoon City ravaged by a virus.
What awaits you
- Two campaigns — Leon and Claire follow paths that cross, with different weapons and partners.
- Resource management — counted ammunition, powder to combine, limited inventory and storage chests.
- The police station as a labyrinth — a building to map, full of locked doors, puzzles and shortcuts to open.
- Tough zombies — they take an enormous amount of damage and get back up, which makes every bullet precious.
- Mr. X — a pursuer who hunts the player through the corridors and cannot be eliminated.
- Replayability — side modes, time rankings and unlockables for speed runs.
