Resident Evil 2 (BIOHAZARD RE:2) is the complete remake of the 1998 classic, made by Capcom on its RE Engine. You play as Leon S. Kennedy, a rookie police officer, or Claire Redfield, who has gone to find her brother, trapped in Raccoon City ravaged by an epidemic. The over-the-shoulder view replaces the fixed cameras of the original, but the spirit remains that of survival horror: rare ammunition, limited inventory space and permanent tension.
What awaits you
- Scarcity management — every bullet counts, healing is rare and the inventory forces painful choices.
- The police station — a labyrinthine setting to open up gradually with keys, puzzles and shortcuts, in the great tradition of the series.
- Mr. X — an indestructible pursuer who tracks the player through the building and forces you to rethink every move.
- Two campaigns — Leon and Claire live through the same catastrophe from different angles, with weapons and encounters specific to each.
- Resistant zombies — they take hits, get back up and make every already-cleared corridor dangerous again.
- Bonus modes — additional short scenarios and challenges unlocked after the campaign.
