Frostpunk, developed by 11 bit studios, is a management and survival game set in an alternative 19th century where the world has frozen over. You lead the last habitable city, built in circles around a heat generator that must be kept running without interruption. The game is not limited to economics: every political decision — child labour, twenty-four-hour working days, care or euthanasia — has a human cost and you must keep both the hope and the discontent of the population within bearable limits.
What awaits you
- Circular city — buildings to arrange around the generator, with heat diminishing the further away you move.
- Resource chain — coal, wood, steel and food to extract, process and store before the cold waves.
- Laws and consequences — a book of laws that shapes your society and divides your citizens according to the choices made.
- Expeditions — sending scouts across the frozen map to find survivors, supplies and remnants of the old world.
- Technological research — improving the generator, shelters and production to withstand extreme temperatures.
